Mysteries of Touch

Was it a dream?
No. it was more more than a dream.

In such a dream you came
on the shore of the ocean we met.

Then you asked me,
the most beautiful question,
'Can I hug you?'

I opened my arms to embrace you.
Time stopped, the universe froze.
The stars were jealous.
For eternity we embraced.

And the heaven came down between us.
I wished the night never pass.
And i knew you wished the same.

Then today contemplating
i excalim, O my Lord
What magic You have created in the touch of two souls!

What hidden message you hide in touch?
I beg, teach me the magic,
teach me the mysteries, O my Beloved.

Very nice. This, and your last post, make an interesting pair: on the one hand, love/passion, on the other detachment. Many people would say this is a contradiction, especially in the West; perhaps it's different where you are?

yes, u point out an interesting thing (as u always does).

actually i was thinking about adding something like, how to transcend the longing of touch. I guess it is the deep understanding of anything (including the longing for touch) can help up detach ourselves.

Unless our mind is not ready, we can not detach. And everything that is created for human to experience, need to be experienced before their depths are reached and finally we can detach ourselves.

In this part i guess the thing is same. But i prefer the middle path offcourse. Outright detachment is not good. buts its better to understand the value so that we can apply when we are too attached.

That's funny, somebody else wrote about dreaming today, too: http://seeking-enlightenment.blogspot.com/2006/03/dream-journal-last-weekends-dream.html

I had a strange one this morning but had forgotten until now. Part of it was asking an old mentor, who I happened to see again, for a hug.

Weird.
