everywhere miracles

you fools ask for miracles,
but realize not that
everything is miracle.
yet your blind eyes fail.

your birth, your each breath
and at the end of it all
your becoming nothing
are all miracles.

yes, you are a miracle, too!

don't ask for magician's magic
but take heed of
the infinite miracles all around.
open you eyes,
everywhere miracles
only you will find.

(c) MysticSaint. 5 April, 2007. Singapore

>> Dedicated to two masters of the brotherhood of Messengers, Jesus Christ and Muhammad, upon them be peace and grace of God - both of them refused to be like cheap magician and to show 'magic like miracles', but they came to awaken the eyes of our heart to realize the true miracles of Creator and the creation; always playing, always in sync.

Hmm, I don't think this poem applies for everyone. I don't think its wrong to supplicate for a miracle such as when one is wretched with a burdening incurable illness, and to be relieved from it means that one is able to discharge the role as a normal productive person properly.

In that sense, there is no sentimentality involved. Just being pragmatic while still in service of the divine agencies in the world.

agree. thanks for sharing the perspective.

my intention was only to address our inability to appreciate 'what IS around us as miracle'.

indeed one can supplicate for divine gifts. there is no harm.

We are truly miracles, as you said in your wonderful poem :) The pen writes only words, ink on paper, the soul transforms the ink into poetry. You are a soul miracle, dear Brother Sadiq :)

Ya Haqq!

Inspiring! Thank you, Sadiq. God is all in all, and that makes all things sacred and miraculous. It is overwhelming.

I think it is about being a better person than believing in miracles. Normal mundane things are not miracles. Birth of a child is more like science. What I think is we should enjoy the everyday life around us.

Whatever, this poem did make me think. Thanks.

Thanks to tiel, I got here.
