the sudden awakening you can't help

Giraffea baby giraffe
enters the world.

from six feet above
dropped to the ground.

existence just found!

from dark womb world
to realm of bright light.

it just can't help
sudden awakening!

the zen master
with closed eyes
announces slowly:
S a t o r i.

walks Moses
straight to the
burning bush.

totally unprepared perhaps,
sudden awakening
arrives.

the sudden awakening
has got no
r e s i s t a n c e.
either it drops on you
or you drop on it,
by complete (paradoxical) chance.

Trivia: Mother giraffe often gives birth while standing so that the newborn's first experience outside the womb is a 6 feet drop! In the birthing process, the embryonic sack usually bursts when the baby falls to the ground.

Satori is a Japanese word used in Zen Buddhism for the phenomenon of Sudden Awakening, that Place where the distinction between Experiencer and experience, Knower and known, is erased, and the separative sense of personal self ("I am me, and you aren't") is extinguished. A similar word Kensho is also cited in Zen to signify the experience of awakening or of self-realization and especially the initial experience of awakening.

Its so beautiful....

But sadly our religions interprete
"All are sinner by birth"

From Bible "The Protestant reformers, including Luther and Calvin, included the idea in their creeds as well. For this reason, Catholic and many Protestant denominations practice infant baptism. At least originally, the practice began as a way to save the infant from spiritual and everlasting condemnation due to the sins he or she inherited from their parents at birth.

Essentially, this doctrine holds that sin is inherited; that a child is lost in sin at birth and a child is totally depraved at birth. When it is pointed out that Jesus was born of Mary, it is explained that Jesus did not inherit sin because Mary was sinless (this in spite of the fact that the Bible plainly tells of Mary offering her sin offerings according to the Law; see Luke 2:22-24 and Leviticus 5:7-13). When asked how it was that Mary was born without inheriting sin, the answer is that Mary, herself, was "immaculately conceived."

But the atual thing is everyone, each thing starts in the purest form and things happen to it depending on the environment and own effort....

No one is a sinner to repent all the while, or no is a born slave to obey without thinking...

Its just like a Duty given to u with all the powers of brain, heart, mind, our parents, relatives and all the sources....

How can we execute the things to be promoted to the next higher level or demoted to the lower level...

So nicely life shows the examples...

Without learing it, which 'Hell' or 'Heaven' we are trying to find in the texts blindly without understanding...

Adi, don't we require to revise the religious texts, keeping the eternal truths in place and changing the rituals or customs to fit the current situation...

Which will be subjected to change with time....

Cann't we follow only one religion of love, which includes living, non-living and the GOD itself...

As far as I know, Hinduism includes all, it says the supreme dwells everywhere in everything, to feel it, to have it approach with selfless, dedicated love...

Islam or Christian, they discard the creators presence in the creation...

Which one will be better to tell the kid, the love u r getting is the lord, if u will do something bad, or hurt, the divinity will get hurt... and u will have to go through more than what u have done...

Or we will teach the kid, though peace is the attribute of Lord, u should always be prepared to kill to set peace, though Love is Lord, it can be achieved by hatred...

Peace is never possible by war, I really feel like crying that Mr.51yr old 'Husmali'couldn't understand till now that peace is the MATTER OF UNDERSTANDING...

If the text to be followed are confusing, if the time have changed Can't we revise them to suit the present keeping the essence intact...

What a wonderful image to remember of the awakening of a baby giraffe!
Sometimes, awareness feels like a sudden drop as our cocoon is torn away, and we are as a new infant wondering about this world around us!
May we be like the butterfly and discover our wings!

dear all, thanks so much for adding your appreciation and kind comments.

dear subhasmita di,
you asked, "don't we require to revise the religious texts, keeping the eternal truths in place and changing the rituals or customs to fit the current situation..." ... see the interesting part is, the problem isn't in the religious text in its originality, but problem is in its interpretation. surely we corrupted so many things in our interpretation and i totally agree that there needs a greater revision and reopening to higher mindset.
